Why should I list with GoAuthor?

A:
GoAuthor has regular outreach efforts to a wide variety of potential buyers for your book, ranging agents to publishers (and more!). Many of these entities can and do return to GoAuthor to explore and seek new material.

Even better, GoAuthor is continually growing and adding new content. More traffic means more potential sales. As new authors direct their contacts to GoAuthor, that’s more people looking at your book!


Q: Is GoAuthor really free?

A: Yes! There’s no cost for our basic listing. There are additional options that do have a monthly cost for premium visibly, however, our goal is provide a working, professional platform for you to showcase your work and provide another point of distribution for you. And of course, GoAuthor never collects any royalty fees


Q: My genre isn’t listed. Can I still submit?

A: Absolutely! GoAuthor does have an Uncategorized section and regularly updates available genre. We want your work to be seen and make every effort for viewers to find you.



Q: What criteria do you use for submissions?

A: GoAuthor welcomes bold, boundary-pushing storytelling and we aim to be non-biased—but we draw a clear line and do not accept content that promotes harm, hatred, illegal activity or undermines community safety.

Submissions will be rejected if they:

  • Advocate or instruct illegal acts (e.g., bomb-making guides, weapon manuals, or texts like The Anarchist Cookbook)

  • Glorify or graphically depict extreme violence, torture, or abuse

  • Contain pornographic material that is exploitative, non-consensual, or excessively graphic

  • Promote hate speech, racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, or any form of targeted discrimination

We believe in the power of difficult stories told with nuance and purpose. If your work engages with sensitive topics in a thoughtful, artistic, or satirical way, we’re open to it. But we draw a firm line at content that incites harm or spreads hate.
